Red light in sky.
Red lights moving from southwest to northeast. Witnessed as driving and pulled over to watch. Seemed to follow same direction. Not flares! Son described as fire floating. Appeared to hover at times and disappear. First group was 5 bright lights. We estimate around 15 lights lasting around 15 minutes on a clear night.
5 Planes flew over area minutes later as reported by friends after we drove off.
