Driving home in a rain storm on Route 22. Saw five orange colored lights in sky going from an east to west direction. Did not observe any flashing position lights that one typically sees on airplanes or helicopters. They seemed to be flying in a loose formation.
I found them a bit unusual since it was raining and no stars or any other aircraft could be seen due to the heavy cloud cover.
