2013-07-11 - Dorval, QC - Light

3 lights, nothing outside the normal UFO claim I guess.

I was on my balcony having a cigarette and having a glass of wine, I lived near an international airport and was an aviation enthusiast for some time in my teens, I am familiar with all forms of aircraft, what they look like in holding patterns, landing, take-off, hazard light reflections in a neighbor's windows, etc.

I looked towards the south and I saw what I believed to be a meteor, but as I observed it, the velocity was wrong, too steady, heading straight down from a high altitude, paused, and then it changed direction and broke in two before making a 90 degree turn north-east, as it passed parallel to the ground I noticed a third, before it dawned on me to record this they were out of sight. Nearly 0 acceleration, or extremely rapid if it did in fact accelerate.

In appearance, they were a strange hazy glowing soft yellowish maybe orange colour similar to an old incandescent light-bulb in a smokey room, with almost a form of blackness around them, highlighting their presence, they wobbled or tumbled rather than flew or fell, awkwardly. which indicates some variation in velocity or relative velocity rather, or observed velocity. I'm no physicists but I'm vaguely familiar with the concept, if not then perhaps an optical effect, photons behaving strangely.

At this point, I was not yet entirely convinced I was even looking at anything more than an inanimate object, a meteor, my rationalizations kicked in, swamp gas, HAARP, maybe water-fowl that picked up fresh road paint. Some new high-tech urban drone programme, though, when comparing the variables, these lights remained unidentifiable, living, sentient, intelligent? I could not yet tell, but soon enough over the following days, months, years, I would.
