Multiple Bars of Lights Hovering in the Sky Over House
Sometime between 8 and 9:00 P.M. the night of February 20, I went outside with my dog.
I looked up at the sky and saw several (perhaps 5 or 6) objects which at first I thought were airplanes. Just killing time waiting for my dog, I studied them and they had lights at regular intervals along the side or perhaps bottom. The moon did not provide much light but what I observed appeared to be "bars," long and rectangular, with lights equidistant along the side.
As I stood there, I realized these objects in the sky were not moving at all but were totally stationary. I watched a plane fly over but the "bars" were exactly where they were when I first saw them, perhaps 20 minutes before. They were not aligned in any pattern but scattered randomly overhead.
As someone who firmly believes in UFO's, I was slow to accept that I might be seeing them.
As I said, I first thought they were large passenger planes and that I was seeing the windows lit up; however, they were too high up to be such. I waited for them to move but they did not.
A little frightened since they were in the sky right above our house, I took my dog and went in.
Thus, I don't know how long they were out there, but I was out watching them about 25 minutes.
The location of our house is Lyme, CT, right by the Connecticut river. This is a remote, wooded area and very dark at night. The only light in the sky at night comes from the moon or rarely an airplane.
As an aside, our heating furnace ceased to work during that night and it turns out the motor was blown. Probably not related because it was old, but a strange coincidence.
