Orange red flickering object moved steadily overhead in central California.
I noticed a light moving from the East or SE. It was red-orange and flickering. It seemed to me more like a flame than steady flashing lights of a plane. It also seemed higher than a plane.
The path of the object went nearly over head and curved to the north or north west and the orange light went out.
The velocity seemed steady like a satellite but I cannot explain the flickering flame-like light.
I could still see the object dimly as grey or dark silver until it disappeared behind trees.
