At approximately 0615 hours on a Saturday morning while still during the hours of darkness, I observed a fast moving silver light going from west to east across the sky. I saw it for the briefest of instances. My initial impression was that it was a military aircraft.
I mentioned seeing it to a co-worker and he stated he saw something similar approximately 20-25 minutes earlier.
I found the incident to be odd because of the timing of the event. It was early on a Saturday morning. There is a local Air National Guard base nearby but it had no aircraft up and flying that morning.
It's possible that what I saw was an aircraft but, as I said earlier, why were they flying over an urban population center at that particular time on a weekend?
