Stars chasing other stars near Bonneville/ Salt Lake City
Iam a truck driver and driving down I80 between mile marker 40 and 62 (62 is the exit to actually go to Dugway Proving grounds) first seen 3 close flying dots looked liked stars with a strobe about3 flashes in half a second wait a second before flashing again. Light stays on between flashes. These three "stars"flew from south to north across me, this is as low as they got I seen, came from Dugway area assuming jet fighters high altitude. When I seen them they were as bright as Jupiter or something similar, while passing they split one stayed north course one went north north east then east. They circled the sky, not to fast not to noticeable as I said bright as a star. But went to a higher elevation to a star about medium brightness. So while driving watching these I noticed they are just going in circles or chasing eachother, getting more interested I pulled off to a rest stop. Got out walked beyond the parking lot lights covered my eyes I see the! se what I thought were fighter jets "no sound either by the way" start to group up and head north. At this point there is about five - I could only see when I cup my eyes from external light. Going north I see what I assumed was an array of radio towers, well they had lights and were strobing as well but a little dimmer. When I first seen them they were stationary about 8-12 maybe 15 lights. But the lights moved west bound when these 5 fighter craft approached. As it looked the fighter craft was "bearding" these lights away from the Salt Lake City area. While staring at these lights the group of lights I noticed were one whole unit- that or made the the Blue Angels look like newbs. I can only assume this is a triangle everyone sees, but at the angle probably 15-25 degrees the lights looked clustered yet spread. Unfortunately I had to go deliver my load which was about 10 miles away. I parked in view of the area stayed the night in the darkest place and s! aw nothing but meteors from the meteor shower. No more dancing! lights or space ships etc. As a trucker I see alot of this stuff just never cared to share I guess because I'am my own biggest skeptic til last night.
