I am a retiread plychologist age 64. I sit out every night till about 2pm facing the south. I saw a large round orange ball, like a pumpkin on fire (fuzzy edges) appearing in the western sky and proceeding to the east. It was very large about the size of a distant full moon while coming towards me getting increasingly smaller as it moved away. Flight was controlled and horizontal.
It finally disapeared over a house to the east, over narragansett bay. No sound, no variation in flight pattern. Quite amazing. In August of '09 I saw a black triangle moving much faster under a cloud bank back lite by a full moon.. At the time I had never heard of such. In December of that year I googled it and learned that many others has seen the same thing. I reported to mufon. ((name deleted))
