Orange/green fireball with 2 whiteish balls following east to west over north uk
Stepped out my front door 11pm and was amazed to see a large fireball followed by 2 smaller fireballs passing overhead.
They were infront of me at an angle of sight of 30 degrees heading east to west at a slow steady pace.
I would say size was size of end of mans thumb if held out at arms length for the first ball, the second 2 were just a bit smaller.
The first fireball was very bright, glowing orange with a tail and other colors were a definate green, greeny blue and white. There were "sparks" coming off it and I was aware of a hissing/fizzing sound although not loud.(Other reports say no sound but I did hear this).
The 2 balls that followed were white with green/ blue colors travelling behind in the path of the first ball equally spaced at approx 1.5 inches using the estimated thumb size at arms length.
A strong impression I got was that the first ball was burning up and the 2 behind were following but not "burning up".
I watched them travel at a steady pace to the horizon which took about 2 minutes from 1st sight, then about 4 mins after that I was still outside and heard a distant low boom which made a neighbours chickens cluck and a dog bark, so they knew something was up.
My inital thought was oh my it/they have crashed but there was no signs of fire/glow on the horizon and no reports the next day of a crash so I presume it was a sonic boom.
As for me I am just a regular guy, 49 steady job etc with an interest in UFO's. This was the most awesome thing I have ever seen, it still can make my hair stand on end a couple weeks later! By pure coincidence I was half way through watching Travis Walton "Fire in the Sky"!!!.
An amazing night especially as my Mother passed away on the 12th Sept a week or so before and I was hoping for any "signs" she could give, well Im not saying it was her blazing across the sky or anything but what made me step outside to have a cigarette at that very moment? There are a few videos on you tube of this incident as it passed over England however they seem to differ from what I saw in that they were of more objects and further away.
Thank you for reading.
