Moving and hovering object with several colors
Object hovering in West sky toward the coastal range, above the tree line from the perspective of my back yard. The object emitted red,blue and yellow colored lights, which could be discerned clearly through binoculors; it appeared to move back and forth abnormally and then to hover, stationary for about 30 minutes until it receded to the edge of, and then beneath the treeline and eventually out of view.
