Object flew upwards onto horizon from behind tree line in the distance; object flew straight up slowly; hovered over our heads approximately 1 minute; flew slowly from east to west; it then picked up speed and quickly flew in to the west sky until you could only see a small dot; no sound heard during this time and appeared to be low while overhead and went upwards as it picked up speed
