Bright light moving and stopping, seen from York, England
I was trying to get my baby back to sleep at the time. At 3:30am I saw (out of the kitchen window) what appeared to be a star, but bigger than the North star and 3 times as bright. I watched it for 10-15 minutes as it stayed stationary in line with the tip of a tree. I put my baby to bed but he awoke again 10 minutes later and we went back in the kitchen. The 'star' was now moving very slowly. Over the next 10 minutes it moved diagonally upwards and right until it stopped again for about 5 minutes before continuing in the same direction and out of my view.
