Circular object over Las Vegas, high altitude, controlled

laying out the at pool, looking up, my friend asked me what the circular thing in the sky was. It was directly overhead, higher than aircraft contrails, and staying totally stationary. It was white/silver, circular, and seemed incredibly high. I have 20/10 corrected vision and have seen many aircraft growing up in a Navy family and being stationed all over the world. It was unlike anything I have seen. After a few minutes, it moved in a straight line, a hands width or maybe 5 degrees, then stopped. It would be difficult to estimate speed as I have no idea how high up it was, or how large it was. It took a second or two to move and come to a stop. It stayed in that position for a couple minutes, then moved back to its' original position, where it remained for several more minutes. We finally went inside and did not see it again. We joked at the time it was a UFO. After 20 or 30 minutes we realized we had seen something odd. The only camera I had was ! my Iphone and both images the object can not be seen.
