Driving home from work on 501 we saw 2 orange lights in the sky and they faded within seconds.
From our position we could tell that they were in the direction of the ocean.
About 10 seconds later we saw 3 more orange lights appear next to each other in a line (1, 2, then 3) and then fade out.
No aircraft were around so we ruled out flares.
Very weird and I wish they could be explained.
