Lights flies through sky followed by helicopter group.
Thanks to Google, I was able to find the coordinates of the place we where when we saw the object cross the sky (40.146405,-79.977763).
My husband was driving us home after dinner. I had just gotten a text message on the way- at 21:58(9:58pm), so that is my time reference. Seconds after putting my phone in my purse- I started to look out of the window (passenger side) at the night sky. There were a few clouds visible, but a good amount of stars. There was one star in particular that caught my eye- and my increasing interest. One reason was because of its size….it was much larger than any star I’d ever seen, and second because it seemed to be moving.
I asked my husband to stop the car- he did at the location given above and he saw it too. A car came behind us and we were forced to move- maybe 30 seconds after initially stopping. I attempted to follow the speeding light but it proved impossible. Seconds later I lost track of it.
I would not have reported this- however what happened next made me really question what we had seen. A group of three helicopters- two in front- one in the back, triangle formation, rushed in from the NW. I was able to follow the helicopter for some time- maybe 15 minutes throughout the drive home. They eventually split up- each taking its own direction. One of them was flying very low, a single blue light and a single red light- but unblinking. I’d never seen a helicopter like that- and the original three all had blinking lights. After arriving home (some 12 miles from the location of the original sighting) I continued seeing helicopters at various altitudes pacing the sky.
The whole thing seemed strange…even more so because it is the type of thing you see in someone else’s backyard- not your own. How I wish I could’ve caught the event on film.
