bubble/egg shaped pod seen flying over Chingford, NE London
As my wife and I were walking up our road we saw an egg/bubble-shaped, pod-like, object appear over the rooftops flying in a northerly direction away from London over Pole Hill, North Chingford.
It looked like a pod from the London Eye, and seemed a similar size. It was close enough to the ground (a few hundred feet?) to see what appeared like a clear canopy over a solid, dark-coloured base. It didn't seem to be manned but that might have been due to the angle from which we were viewing it, or the canopy might not have been transparent. It was silent and travelling at a steady speed, neither very fast nor slowly.
I watched it disappear into the distance through a gap in the houses. It followed a straight trajectory and maintained a constant speed.
