Red solid sphere in sky
Was setting on patio in backyard and the kids had just finished setting off fire crackers nothing that would go up into the sky, it was still daylight out.
The kids went inside because of the heat, myself and a friend was setting out talking when we looked up we seen a small sphere shaped object that seemed solid and red in color gliding along the treeline making no sound heading in a northeasternly direction. Did not look like a lantern or a controlled flying object such as a plane or toy UFO.
Very strange to us we had never seen anything like this before.
