I was listening to the police scanner on the evening of July 1st when the dispatcher came on to report that a subject had called in a report of a basket shaped object with a flame inside. the dispatcher stated that the object was seen moveing west towards the fair grounds. The dispatcher,that reported it to an officer, was chuckeling and making light of the situation as if she thought it a hoax. When I read the report that you listed for the 1st of July describing the same sighting in Seattle on the same night, I felt compelled to pass this info on.
