Multiple red/orange fireballs rising from the southeast horizon towards los angeles
Our house is on a hillside in the Monterey Hills/ El Sereno neighborhoods of northeast Los Angeles. We constantly see helicopters and air traffic going to and from LAX. We see helicopters of all types โ police, media, military, fire department.
On Tuesday night, June 12, 2012, we sat in our kitchen and watched 20- 30 red/orange fireballs rise from the southeast move into the night sky over a 30 minute period. They would come in groups of 2 -4. As each group would rise, we saw helicopters fly back and forth between them. The time was approximately 9:15-10 pm PST.
My wife and both watched this for 30 -45 minutes. We canโt stress enough that we never see these types of lights/craft in this part of the sky, and acting with these flight/movement characteristics.
