A star that wasn't a star
There was what I though was a star, as bright as Altair, moving slowly from east to west, but too fast for a star.
I thought it was a high flying airplane or satellite. Then it made a 90 degree turn an flew quickly to the south.
Odd, so I called for the two people in the house. They came out and the "star" was now stationary. Great, they'll think I'm nuts, I thought.
Then it started moving to west again in alternating fast, then slow, jerking motions. It was a white light that would brighten and dim.
Then it shot 180 degrees to the east. It kept doing strange things like this.
After about 10 minutes, our necks got tired so we went back in.
What was it?
