Balls of fire seen in evening sky, over Erie, PA, area.
The first light came out of the NE just at dark. My neighbor and I were on the patio, when she spotted the first ball of fire. It looked like an airplane on fire, and we were waiting for it to fall from the sky. It moved at the speed of the International Space Station when it makes it pass across the sky. The object moved rather slowly, and appeared to stop in the sky. It then moved more to the South, and slowly disappeared into the distant. Moments later, another one appeared. It too followed the same path, same speed. And it also appeared to stop, before disappeared straight out into the clouds. These balls were bright orange in color, and really looked like balls of fire.
