Bright like an arc welder
Wife and I were walking the railroad in a southern direction. We saw a light blue light ahead of us and higher that the mountain tops. There are several large mountain top removal coal operations in the area. I could see what looked like reflections on metal but no real detail. After about 20 or 30 seconds ( hard for me to judge) the blue light grew in intensity. It looked like the light from arc welding. It seemed to accend and move away toward the north/northwest slowly. The area we lost sight of it has no mining. I have worked on Helicopters and around aircraft in the military. It was nothing known to me.
