(Facing north from Mission Bay, San Diego) 40 bright objects, yellow/red lights, rose one at a time from the horizon over La Jolla, California, from about 8:00 PM to 8:20 PM on Sunday, April 22, 2012. The objects moved slowly to the west for 1 to 3 miles, in generally the same direction, disappearing into the overcast at around 1000 feet. Each object was visible for approximately 15 to 90 seconds, and flew at random speeds, but all heading up and to the west. Many of the objects appeared to fly in loose formations of two or three, for at least a portion of the time. One observer said they were pretty. Two other observers said they were not aircraft but UFOs after only a few seconds of observation.
