2012-03-22 - Mansfield and Terrell, TX - Light

2 lights very bright then dim over and over again..venus and jupiter? but why the blinking????

so i understand that venus and jupiter are out this month, however the two bright lights in the west have come and gone for about a week now.. the thing i cannot figure out is why they are continually dimming and then getting REEALLLY bright within minuets of each other, and they seem to do it back and forth..also when i saw them the first two nights the two lights were considerably close together almost horizontal, now they are almost completely vertical and seem to get lower in the sky within about a 30 min span all while continuing to get bright and then dim over and over again and they blink like stars Please explain to me why if they ARE venus and jupiter why are they getting really bright and then dim over and over again and why do they seem to be blinking like stars while bright???
