Multicolored blinking light sw of Sandwich, MA. Object was Stationary in the sky; 40 degree angle with respect to observer. Difficult to determine distance, however, seemed to be far way. First noticed brilliant flashin colors with naked eye, then observed with high-powered binoculars. The object did not appear to be an aircraft, because of it's bold radiating flashing nature, which appeared to project from all points of the object.
