2012-03-18 - Seattle, WA - Fireball

Red/orange ball of fire, noiseless and moving steadily for two minutes, south to north in seattle.

At 8:45 PM, Sunday March 18, 2012. My daughter and I saw a red/orange ball in sky. Moving from south to north in seattle. The object at first looked like it was something on fire, a balloon or plane, but there were no other lights, No flashing, object made no noise. It took about 2 minutes to fly accross the sky. It was at one point close to being directly underneath us. Never seen anything like it. If it was a meteor it would have been announce by Nasa as a near miss to earth. This was not a meteor. I don't know what it was. There was also a quick flash of light across the sky at one point. I do not know if this was connected to the object. It may have been lightning, then 10 seconds later rumbling/boom like sonic boom or thunder, but the sky was partially clear.
