No lights or sound, pitch black triangle over the water.
I know that it has been a couple of years since i had seen it. I had been thinking about this inccident just recently and wanted to look into it. I believe the date was near or on March 17, 2012, around 2:00 am.
Two buddies and I were on a "John-Boat" with the engine off, floating in the middle of Cherry Bay (Neuse River-Mouth), NC. [Near the path that the automobile ferry follows]
When I noticed that there was an area of stars that were gone. Upon looking closer, I noticed it was triangle in shape, fairly low, NO sound, and no lights, just pitch black. It was heading from the direction of Oriental, NC, across the water towards Cherry Piont Air Force Base.
I just thought it would be interesting if I put this inccedent out there for others to know.
