Five orange orbs seen 6:30 pm 110 miles north of Traverse City MI
I witnessed 5 orange orbs. We live on the west side of the East Grand Traverse bay in Michigan. Our house is at the top of a 150 ft. tall cliff and we have a good view of the bay from all sides especially in the fall when the leaves are off.
I stepped outside at 6:30 pm on Dec. 31st and looked to the north, from the west side of the house. It was already very dark outside I noticed some lights in the sky over the bay and thought they were stars. I then realized there were no stars as it was overcast and the lights were something else.
Then I noticed one that was over land moving west to east toward the bay, I could see it through section of woods behind our house.
I ran around to the lake side of the house and the moving orange orb joined 4 others over the bay. I tried to get a video with my phone but it did not turn out as it was too low of quality. They were spread out to the north of our home directly over the four mile wide bay and I estimate they were one mile north at a high elevation of maybe 1,000 ft. This lasted for about 3 minutes and they were spread out in a pattern with three across horizontal and two more under them randomly spaced. Then they moved on north through the clouds and disappeared.
The objects made no noise.
