One lit cigar shaped craft, four "U" shaped smaller craft
On October 14th, at approximately 2330 hours, I was outside smoking a cigarette and talking to my wife on the phone. I just happened to look up and I saw the two “U” shaped UFO’s fly over the top of my head in a north to south flight path. I did not hear the sound of their engines. Both of them were no more than 1500 feet above the ground. I would have heard them way before they passed over me because of how slow they were going.
They were both an Air Force gray with black highlights. Once I lost sight of them, I saw the cigar shaped one come out from behind the trees. It couldn’t have been more than a quarter of a mile away from where I was standing. It was moving slightly slower than what the other two craft were moving. It had lights all along the bottom of it and some on the side of direction of flight. It was mostly blue with white highlights, and was trailing a bluish white mist. Again with how slow the 3 craft had been moving I should have been able to hear the engines running.
After witnessing this event I called one of my co-workers, who I knew would be awake at this time of night, he happened to be outside smoking as well. I began to tell him what I had seen and about 10 seconds after he heard my description, he saw them too. Only this time there were four “U” shaped craft, along with the cigar shaped craft. There was another co-worker with him that night. He witnessed the now 5 aircraft as well.
I have been in the military for 10 years in the aviation community. I know that at certain distances I should be able to hear their engines. I could have easily dismissed the 2 “U” shaped craft as UAV’s, but I, and my co-workers, did not after seeing the cigar shaped UFO. I have been in military aviation my entire career, I can tell the difference between aircraft just by how they sound, from quite a ways away. These were close enough that we should have heard something, anything.
