2 lighted boomerang shaped flying objects seen neat El Paso Illinois
My children and I were coming back from church last night and ahead of me on highway 39 I saw two sets of lights looking like they were positioned on a radio tower. I thought to myself I don't remember a tower being right there. (I drive this road home every night after work from Bloomington Illinois. I said out loud "what are those?"
My kids who were talking amongst themselves said "what mom?" I said "what are those lights?" as I drove closer and realized that there was not a tower there. Then I was like, maybe it is helicopters because they were still and hovering off the left of the road (we were heading North on 39 toward El Paso, Il)
They were at first on top of each other like an equal sign (thats what made me think it was a tower because of the lights at top then midway on the tower) they soon separated and one of them led the other in the direction headed toward 55.
I tried to take a video with my cell phone but it was too dark outside and being pull! ed over on the road I was getting passed by semis and cars. It was very strange.
