Shape changing star explodes into a beautiful rainbow, and returns to original shape
For the past few weeks I have observed a star in the sky that appeared to be changing colors. I took pictures and got amazing results. On this particular night as I was watching it, it literally exploded into color(I, could see it with my own eyes) creating a beautiful rainbow effect and I captured a beautiful picture of it, as I had my camera rolling on a timer. Within a few seconds a fountain like falling star lit up the sky, which I was able to catch on my camera. I have numerous photo's of this (what I thought was a star) changing shape, changing orbit and changing color. I would love to know what it is. Meteor or Comet? the item is located (straight west is 12 o'clock) at approximately 10:30 the first times I saw it and it rose. It is now appearing high in the sky, approximately 60 degrees, and lowering in the sky. It definately has its own orbit, unique from the other stars.
I have captured several pictures of the item changing shape. I am using a Nikon D5000 I will forward the pictures to you via email.
