2011-09-01 - Portland, OR - Sphere

Bright Orange Sphere Formation Seen From Downtown Portland.

I do not recall the exact date, although can get it via investigation.

On or about the month of September of 2011, I was transitioning to be homeless when I managed to occupy a temporary shelter, named the Shoreline Shelter. This is right near the old salvation army building on Burnside and 2ND ave. I can get the exact date I seen this event because I got kicked out for climbing out on the roof at night, simply to use the wifi internet I could not pick up in my room.

While I was out on the roof I observed 9-11 brightly light orange spheres in the direction of the airport, from downtown. On the roof of the building, I could see the ground at a distance of apx 15 miles, and estimate the height of the flying objects to be apx 500-1500 feet above ground. The objects held a formation although they did not appear to be of one object. They started to slowly move independently of one another. I managed to observe these in flight for about 5-7 minutes. There are two taller buildings that obscured the view, these orbs passed behind them and finally, I could no longer see them.

There were no other objects in my view flying for apx 30 minutes after the sighting. I simply gave up and went back inside shortly after.
