Green fireball with tail in night sky
On 8/6/2011 at 11:05 pm two of us were sitting outside facing southeast. A bright green fireball with an orange aura and tail appeared traveling across the horizon from north to south.
It then began traveling downward at a 90 degree angle. It was extremely bright and traveled in a deliberate path.
Our view lasted for a few seconds before disappearing behind the tree line along the neighborhood lake. There was no sound.
