3 moving white lights over Front Range near Colorado Springs
It was a Saturday night in July 2011, either July 16 or 23; I can’t remember which anymore. The time was around 11:00 PM. I looked out my bedroom window because I thought I heard a car idling at the corner of the nearest cross-street.
There was no car, but I looked up toward the northwest and saw three fuzzy white lights in the sky, much closer and clearer than stars, in a triangle pattern equidistant from each other and moving clockwise in a circle. Every few seconds they would all come together in the middle of the circle, bounce off each other, then go back out to their original positions and resume moving in a circle. The sky was mostly clear with a few thin wisps of cloud. The lights appeared to be between me and the clouds.
After about a minute I went into the dining room and looked from that window, and they were still doing the same thing. After about another minute I went into the livingroom and looked again, and one of the lights was missing, while the other two kept circling and touching, but after a few seconds it came shooting back into the formation from the left (behind a cloud wisp) and the three lights continued to do the circling and touching.
I went away from the window for a couple of minutes, then looked again, and they were still there. I went away from the window for a couple more minutes, then looked out the diningroom window again, and they were gone. I looked for them again on various nights after this but never saw them again.
