Bright sphere hovering low with no sound darts off incredibly fast and disappears
July 22, 2011 To Whom It May Concern, On the night of July 21, 2011 my 3sons, my fiancee, and I were in Whiskey Flats setting up for a garage sale for Friday morning. We had started late, around 10:15 and my two smallest sons slept in my truck while my fiancee, my oldest son 16 and I worked for 2 hours setting things up.
Around 11:15 to 11:30 I started getting the feeling we were being watched…I kept my eyes open and kept scanning the shadows (without making it obvious) while putting things on the tables. It may very well have been individuals watching since it is a “shady” area and the building’s surroundings were robbed the night before. Nonetheless, I was alert but did not see anything.
About that time my son accidentally kicked a leg out from one of the tables. I shook my head and made the long trek around the line of tables to get the leg on the other side. The whole time my son watched me because he thought he was in trouble. I picked up the leg and proceeded to walk a few additional steps to my fiancee to hand him the leg (he did not hear it break). Upon reaching him I looked in the sky at a bright light, back at him, then immediately looked back up to take a double shot…at the same time, my son followed my gaze and within 10 seconds we both exclaimed in unison “What was that! Oh my God…What was that” and looked at each other in disbelief. We both were covered in goose bumps from that moment on and for about 20 min after. Upon talking on the way home we both were still in disbelief and kept getting goose bumps talking about it.
We both seen the same thing. It was a large bright …super bright sphere. This light was brighter than LED lights, yet it did not illuminate (or radiate) the light outwards. It was as if the light was self contained….There was not even a hazy glow around it like you would imagine a light to be…it was as if a child drew a picture of a black sky and placed a white/yellow light in the center. The light hovered and did not move for about 4 seconds when we looked at it. Then all of a sudden it shot off to the west and it went so fast that it looked not like a streak, but like a small line of light (like a segment in the sky). The first part of the segment was as bright as the object the second half of the segment was half as bright. Then there was no more. No sound, no light, no streak, no smoke, no nothing. It was fairly close to the highway. As far as distance up, the best way I can describe it is… Imaging a search helicopter then imagine a large commercial airplane w! here you barely see the blinking lights, now draw an imaginary line, and put the sphere of light about ¼ up from the helicopter.
My fiancee stayed and worked on putting the stuff out for our sale the rest of the night. I called a few times and talked to him and he had not seen anything. He is a bit bummed out since he loves watching UFO documentaries and is into it and my son and I don’t really think much about it. I don’t think anything about these things. When I was a child we were in Spokane Washington and within 1 week I witnessed 2 UFOs. 1 was a craft and 1 was a disk in a field (it was faster than our car). As a young woman I used to have nightmare about being on a table and having aliens surround me and I can’t move or scream…just cry. (Where those came from, I don’t know…) I don’t talk about these things or even think about them. I love watching the stars and catching a glimpse of a falling star or meteor shower, but I have never had any other sighting since I was a small child. I don’t watch horror movies and don’t have an over active imagination. I guess I would like to be able to give my son a reasonable explanation for what we seen. Thank you.
