2011-07-05 - New Sweden, ME - Triangle

Very bright red light, switching to white, on 3 triangular shapes connect to one form. Hovered over the tree line as well as flew over.

I’ve contacted this agency once before, but must have done it wrong, as no one responded. This time I have a much closer thing to describe.

At approximately 11:45 p.m., on July 5th, 2011, (33 minutes from the time I’m writing this), I looked in my usual place in the sky from the back of my house to see if there were any bouncing lights (as there are nearly every night in the past 2 years since moving here). This time, in the same general area of the sky, something caught my eye. While usually, I see bluish/whitish lights, this time I saw a very vivid red light flashing, then turning white, then back to red. It was moving side to side, then up and down.

Finally, this thing moved overhead so I was looking at the underneath part as it flew over. I saw 3 red lights on three triangular shapes, connected to whatever the main part of the body was. It flew over and went from the southwest sky toward the eastern sky. It went over about 2 large fields’ length, then I w! atched it bounce a bit again, before it faded and began to look like one of the stars.

This is when I texted my sister next door to get over to my front porch (where I went after I couldn’t see it from the back anymore).

We waited two minutes, just watching the sky for anything out of the ordinary, when suddenly we looked in the same direction the thing had disappeared into, and just a couple of fields over, there was an amazingly bright light hovering in the tree line; the light stayed red a few seconds then switched to white, then back to red, it glowed.

My sister and I watched, not taking our eyes off of this thing. It looked like it was staying in a small patterned area, because it hovered, then moved slightly to another nearby location, then moved again to another nearby location. It was almost as if it was searching for something. We watched it another couple of minutes, then the bright red light faded out, just like that.

My sister and I immediately heard clicking no! ises; first from the field area, then closer to my house (all the while we were still on the front porch). That was enough to make us want to come back in.

I’ve been watching certain "orbs" of light actively move in the same area of the sky night after night (for the past many months), and always watch them sway side to side some, then move fluidly up and down; sometimes going from one area to another.
