Group of UFO's witnessed over Esperance, NY on 3 July 2011
At about 9:00 pm 3 July 2011 in Esperance, NY, the 3 observers were outside enjoying the evening. At this point in time it was still light out. One member of the party noticed a strange lit up object moving across the sky from a Southwest direction. As the object passed overhead the party discussed whether or not it was a familiar aircraft. No wings could be seen and the craft had a constant, strong light in which we noticed slight flickering as it passed overhead in a beeline headed North.
Initially this was dismissed, however less than a minute later a formation of 12-15 circular craft appeared above the horizon where the first craft was seen. The craft were "stacked" in a vertical formation in two columns so as to appear in a zig-zag. As one party member ran to fetch binoculars the other two witnesses watched the objects go overhead, following the first craft. Some of the objects had lights and others did not. When viewed through binoculars, the objects appeared to change shape slightly from what one observer referred to as a "smart-car" (in profile) shape to a sphere. About a minute after this event, a final craft appeared and headed in a Northwest direction as if anticipating where the previous craft were headed.
All the craft were silent and moving quickly across the field of view. The first craft appeared smaller (as if it had the greater altitude) and the rest were about 1/3 to 1/4 the size (in height) of a visible sliver moon. After the stars came out it was plain to see they (the craft) were significantly larger than any stars or planets visible. One observer noted that they must be quite large if we could see them so distinctly from our distance. It was hard to determine color as they appeared dark against the light sky.
Also unusual was that no one could recall seeing them appear or disappear, just that they were suddenly there and just as suddenly gone. One observer said they must have disappeared into the clouds, however no clouds were present.
