lightning was behind a cloud and this tear drop shaped bright light with a dark spot in the middle was in the dark in front of the cloud until the lightning flashed glowed for a few seconds and dispersed when the next flash came.
the teardrop shape almost looked spiky around the edges and gloed very bright.
