There were two sightings of a quiet bright orange circular UFO that flew overhead at two different times.
Around 10:30pm, after getting off work I headed to a friend’s house. There I was told that about an hour earlier that my two friends had seen a glowing orange circular object that "was semi-fast," with no noise at all. I quickly put it off as either some sort of meteor or asteroid that had flown through our atmosphere. They assured me that it was nothing they had seen before and was too big to be either of those.
Skip to around 11:30pm, I was driving away from their house and saw a bright orange glowing ball in the sky that I first identified as a fire work in the air that had not yet exploded. After a few seconds I realized that it was not firework and it was heading my way.
As I stayed parked in my car I watched as this orange circle flew over. It was really bright, was about the size comparable to a quarter or half dollar, made absolutely no noise, and seemed to be at the same distance from earth an airplane would fly at. Even though this UFO was really bright I felt like I could see some sort of outline around it but could not make out the shape.
The flight pattern was relatively straight, and according to my friend’s story was traveling the same exact direction the first time they watched it. The speed was relatively fast for the distance it was away, but seemed a lot slower than what a airplane would travel. By the time I had called them and had driven back to their house the object had become smaller and disappeared out of site. I did get a hold of my friends in time for them to actually see the object to confirm that it was the same.
I did some research to see if it was one of the so called "Chinese lanterns," but it was way too bright and large for it to be one of these.
