2011-06-18 - Montreal, QC - Circle

The circular object, orange lights spinning, was the size of a quarter in the night sky, and rocketed accros the horizon in 5 seconds.

I live in a 4 story condo, and occupy the top 2 stories. I have an exterior deck that faces the south. At 10:55 PM,on Saturday, June 18, 2011,

I walked out on the deck to take in the night air, before watching the evening news. I was facing the eastern sky, when I noticed an object, about the size of a 'quarter', circular in nature, with a large organge light emanating from the middle, and many smaller lights surrounding the perimeter of this circular object, spinning, in what I believe was a clockwise direction. This object was, as I mentioned, the size of a quarter. It was not small. It was very high in the sky. It did NOT make a sound, and its lights were spinning. It flew from the south-east, to the north at a very high speed. When I say high speed, I mean, it took about 4 or 5 seconds to cross the horizon, until I could not see it. It was NOT a plane, helicopter, or any other natural object that I have ever seen in my life.

I live about 6 miles from Montreal's Trudeau International Airport and ALL of the planes in this area, fly east-west or west-east. BUT I have to make the point, that I also saw a plane, taking off along the same path as the object that I saw, but at a much, much, much, slower speed.

I have NEVER seen any plane move as fast as the object that I viewed. I have never seen any planes take a northerly path as this one did. I have never seen an obeject as large as this one was. I have never seen a circular object as large as this one, with an orange center glow, with lights circling the center orange glowing light. But most importantly, I have never seen, something move so quickly accross the sky. This thing dissapeared in the space of about 4 to 5 seconds. It was so high, that I only saw it materialize, halfway in the East horizon, that is, I did NOT see it span or cross the complete horizon. It appeared about 1/3 of the way, in the South-East horizon, and then flashed accross the horizon, moving North, until my vision was blocked by the roof of my home. I could only follow it with my eyes, until my roof blocked its progress.

This whole event took no more than about 4 or 5 seconds. I can tell you that I have seen, satelites, shooting stars, the 'space station', and other unknown lights in the sky, including high flying planes. BUT this is the first time, where I can say that what I saw, was NOTHING resembling anything remotely 'Earthly' constructed. This thing was high in the sky. It was large (the size of a quarter). It was orange in the center and spinning with orange lights on its circumference and it flew at such a high speed, so as to preclude anything else I have ever seen in my life. This was NOT a plane! I believe it was high in the sky, because the lights were NOT blinding. They were visible, but not extemely bright. The evening sky was clear. There were no clouds in the sky. The moon was a 3/4 moon.

I don't know what else to say about this event, except that I know what I saw. It was large, spinning and extrememly fast. I am a believer, now.

When I watched it, I could not believe what I saw. I can tell you this though, this was not a plane, baloon, star, fighter plane or anything else. It was round, orange and glowing with lights circling it, and it was motoring at a very high velocity!

This sighting was over in 5 seconds. I was in awe and surprised, and delighted and in shock, all at the same time, and I still am. I don't know what else to say.
