Sudden brightness with blinds closed, shadows of aircraft passing by window
This happened many years ago, when I was in high school. I stayed up late to play video games (The Sims 3) in my bed. I had closed my laptop around 2:30am and laid down facing the window.
I had two windows with closed blinds (with the shade facing down to prevent gaps in the blinds) in my room, facing East. I lived on a corner house in a quiet neighborhood in the Cleveland suburbs. It wasn’t unusual for car lights to shine on the lower part of the windows when they passed.
On this night, the night sky outside my window suddenly turned a different color! It was like… a light blue / teal shade almost. The entire window area lit up this color. It definitely was NOT passing car lights as my parents suggested. The whole window was full of light.
Because my blinds were completely closed facing downward, I could only tell that the light was bright and obviously couldn’t see anything else clearly. However, after about 20 seconds of the brightness appearing, I saw dark shadowy figures (looked like aircraft) slowly passing by my window. Again, I couldn’t see anything other than the shadow.
The shapes were long and took up about 3/4 of my window - small enough that i could see the movement and the shape. They were definitely passing by at window height. They passed slowly, almost as if they were conducting surveillance. It was completely silent, so it couldn’t be a helicopter or plane or anything.
I think there were 3-4 figures that passed. It was bright the entire time. My room was literally lit up in blue-ish light. I was too afraid to get up and peek through the blinds on the window. I was definitely awake though - I was just scared to death. It was not sleep paralysis or anything.
After the last figure passed by, I remember taking three deep breaths and then the light going back to normal.
