My daughter looked across the parking lot above a strip mall and asked if that was a hot air balloon. It was black or dark and looked like a round, spherical ball shaped thing, but with two large round parts, almost like a mickey mouse ears in its sillouhette.
Moving westward at varying speeds, maybe 100' above the ground, maybe the size of a car or minivan, erratic motion, slowed to a stop, picked up speed, maybe 25mph or so, then moved toward a local radio broadcast antenna and as I chased it and crested the hill, it was gone.
Not a normal aircraft and not moving in the direction or speed of the wind. Happened within a short time after small thunderstorm. No lights at all, very dark object, seemed very rounded, no sharp edges, no sound that I could hear. Guessing I was 1/8 mile from it.
