Saw a quick graceful moving object with a line of lights (mostly bright blue) that turned on and off quickly. Object disappeared.
I have never written anything like this before, but then again, I have never seen anything like this before. I'm a regular person with a regular job, this is not a hoax, and maybe it's not a real UFO-- I don't know WHAT it was, so I'm reporting it just in case because I can't explain it. I work with special needs children, and I was going to "Family Movie Night" at an elementary school in Natomas. It started at 6pm and ended around 8:20. After it ended (around 8:30) I was on the freeway back to downtown Sacramento, just past the Del Paso exit, when I saw something odd in the sky in the field to the left of the highway (a lot of Natomas is not developed yet.) I thought it was an airplane at first, but it had a very brilliant blue light at the bottom. The lighted up part looked rectangular, like a line of really bright, true blue lights. I turned my head to watch it, and when I did I noticed it had a few other colored lights on it-- then I saw it move. It was ! amazing!! It did this really graceful swan dive, and then disappeared for a second. Then it reappeared and maneuvered very quickly again. It was almost a gliding motion, like a kite, except for it was way too high up and large to be a kite and I don't know of anyone who flies those things in vacant fields by the highway at 8:30. I guess it's possible, but I really don't think it was any kind of kite, it just had that really swift graceful gliding motion, nothing like an airplane. Plus, the lights kept switching on and off (when they were off it looked as if it disappeared, then reappeared when the lights went on), and it would hover, and then move very quickly. I watched as long as I could, but I was driving, and then it disappeared before it was even out of my field of view. I called my boyfriend right away (yep, I know, using my cell phone in the car) and he just thought it was funny, but I can't believe I actually saw something like that! I think it may have been a real ! UFO, and that is just fascinating. I have no other explanation. Again, I was heading from Natomas to Downtown Sacramento (on I-5 South) just past the Del Paso exit, and I saw this in the sky above a vacant field to the left of the highway. I was in no way impaired at the time. It was pretty amazing!
