I observed a formation of yellow-orange lights flying silently in an easterly direction above my home on the campus of Lawrence University in Appleton.
There were several (4?) lights in front and then 2-3 lights following behind quite a way back from these first objects. It was way too big to be a single airplane, the thought struck me that it could possibly be a formation of military fighters, but there is no military base around here, and I would have heard the roaring of the engines.
I ran into the house, and called to my boyfriend to come and look, and when we went back out 30 seconds later, there was absolutely no evidence of them.
