Episode 8 of Flying Wild Alaska. As the red Cessna rose above the hillside, the blue sky was in the background. A horizontal streak/flash occurred, going from left to right. Faster than I imagine an aircraft could fly. The streak length was about half the frame, and evaporated very quickly.
I couldn't make out what caused it. I had recorded the program and was reviewing it using my DVR. I made another recording from the video on my Mac in slow motion. I can't make out any detail but there is something causing the streak.
I've seen meteorites in daytime and evening, and it actually appears to be a meteorite falling through the atmosphere but I find it hard to believe nobody else saw it, nor commented on it.
((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. One would have to contact the producers of the film, in order to establish the date of the filming, we suspect. PD))
