a descending "set" of white airplane type lights visible for 3 or 4 seconds and then vanishing before reaching the horizon
we were headed west on hwy 2 in our car....the sky was already dark...about 7-7:30 pm....we were looking toward lookout mtn (in the vicinity of covenant college)...what i thought i saw was a descending "set" of lights, similar to an airplane, but mostly white (i don't think there was any other color) and a little bit larger than what would appear on a plane.....just over the horizon of the mountain....as it descended (very rapidly), my thought was to say, "look!...that airplane's going to hit the mountain!"....but then the lights seemed to "vanish" before reaching the horizon and i wondered if it was some sort of "shooting star".....it lasted several seconds however, and seemed somehow a little different than shooting stars normally appear.....
