Sierra Vista, Az 1/1/2011 12:02 8 slow moving hovering objects lasted about 8 minutes.
After setting off fireworks in our street at about 12:02 a round, red slow moving light came across the sky from the North followed by another identical object.
It was not a firework, it moved very slowly seeming to almost hover.
The neighbor across the street and the neighbors down the street were all pointing and asking what the hell is that? The first was followed by seven identical objects all moving slowly twords the south until they each disappeared in the same spot.
It was really strange and all of us verified via text that several other people also saw it.
Not sure if it is relevant or not but almost right after the last one disappeared we saw a slow shooting star?
