Unusual formation outside of Salt Lake INT airspace and flight patterns.
Although there was heavy cloud cover, there were 3 perfectly aligned bright lights forming the right side of a triangle.
A fourth light was to the bottom left of the others, forming the base of the triangle, and had a slight strobe [possibly due to the cloud cover].
The objects were over the eastern skies of Salt Lake City opposite the airspace and flight paths of Salt Lake INT. They were low and clouds started to set in.
A fifth light seemed to approach from the Davis County area where Hill AFB is located, but the clouds were thick at that point and I could only see the very top of the formation well, by the time we could get a clear view all lights were gone.
I called Fox 13, and several other local stations to see if anyone had witnessed this but no reports were filed.
