Fireball moving across sky characteristic of an airplane stops stays stationary then fades out slowly, no visable debris
Im a 14 year old honor roll student! There is usually a logical explanation for things that happen but I can't find one for what happened this night!
The object (fireball) was traveling south southwest. We were about a 1/4 mile west of Lake Erie and about the same distance east of South Rockwood Village Limit! My mom and I were on our way home from the gas station, about 10:00 at night. I was listening to my iPod with my headphones. It was a clear night. We were almost home when I felt my mom tap me. I pulled my headphones out n turned to her! She was saying "look! Look up there!" as she was pointing in the sky towards the lake. I just kinda casually looked. The trees were kinda in the way at first, but it really caught my attention as it came into clear view. I'd never seen anything like that! I thought it was a plane on fire and asked my mom if it was! She said it looked like it. She was driving real slow. She pointed out that she didn't see any wing tip! lights or plane in motion lights! I didn't see any either! We just figured the fire affected it's electrical system! When we drove around the river bend she pulled over n stopped. She said she was gonna call the Sheriffs. We were watching this thing. It looked like an airplane as far as its air speed and distance. It crossed over the road ahead of us. Its speed hadn't changed at all since it cleared the tree line and it wasn't flying any lower! It just looked like a moving fireball in the sky. Not quite round when it was moving. No sparks or trails behind it! It looked like it was over some farm fields when it just suddenly stopped! It didn't slow down at all, it just stopped! After it stopped it appeared to be more round! It didn't fall or move in any other direction. Its color n brightness didn't change at all. It stayed in that position for a long time, maybe 30-60 seconds! Then it just slowly fadded out till there was nothing! Like a slow fizzle! I didn't see anythi! ng come crashing down to the ground. Even though it was dark I was looking! There were no falling sparks, nothing! I've seen probably hundreds of 'falling stars', my mom always points to the sky! This was different! I also never heard any sounds.
The next night about the same time we pulled into my grandpa's driveway, about a block away from where we stopped the night before. My mom and I both seen a plane, but it was different than any I've seen. All the lights were red, wing tips and plane in motion! It was moving fast and flew out towards the lake n was gone. It came from the south, Fermi III area!
