3 lights form hovering triangle and disappear behind NYC skyline
Around 11 pm on Monday, October 25th, a friend and I received an email tip stating that mysterious lights were hovering above the Queensboro bridge in New York City. Having a great view of the bridge from the roof of the building we were in, we went upstairs to watch.
We first saw one bright orb-shaped light floating in the sky fairly low, maybe 100-200 feet above the skyline. It was not moving, so we weren't sure if it was actually floating or a light on top of a building. As we watched, we started to notice small, bizarre reflections in the sky around it, tiny points of shimmering light (more like reflections of light then actual light itself) slowly moving around the sky, becoming more and less visible. Once, one of these reflection points hovered slowly before shooting off at an extreme velocity straight into the sky. After seeing this, we we're frightened and excited, and ran to get a video camera to film the events that followed.

They seemed to have emerged from the initial light. At first these were smaller, and they appeared approximating an upside-down triangle with the initial light at the base. All three then became equal in brightness for about half a minute. The two upper lights slowly switched positions, as the light at the bottom (which had been on for considerably longer) began to descend, very slowly. It descended completely below the skyline over the course of about 3 minutes, with the upper lights moving to approximate a vertical line. Then, the upper lights, each now as bright as the next, began to also descend, until all three had disappeared behind the skyline.
The witnesses are two college graduates who live and work as artists in Brooklyn, NY.
